Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tasos Chatzivasiliou met with Israeli Minister of Regional Cooperation David Amsalem today in Athens, @GreeceMFA announced on @X.
Amsalem, who was accompanied by representatives from leading Israeli energy and infrastructure companies, stating that “we have come here with the most prominent development companies from my country in the fields of security, energy, and infrastructure,” as reported by @eKathimerini.
The meeting took place 3 months after the signing of the Greece-Israel intergovernmental energy cooperation agreement last December. Amsalem stated that Israel “believes it is in the strategic interest of all our nations to establish an interconnection corridor linking Israel, Cyprus, Greece, and ultimately Europe,” as reported by @eKathimerini.
